Type species: ¤ Actinoalloteichus cyanogriseus Tamura et al. 2000.
Etymology: Gr. n. actis actinos, ray (used to refer to actinomycetes); Gr. adj. allos, another, the other; Gr. masc. n. teichos, wall; N.L. masc. n. Actinoalloteichus, actinomycete with a different wall.
