Warning: In the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature, an arrow (--->) only indicates the sequence of valid publication of names and does not mean that the last name in the sequence must be used (see: Introduction). Classification - List of orders and suborders included in the class - Warning: see also the file "Classification of prokaryotes: Introduction".
Archaeoglobea Cavalier-Smith 2002, class. nov.
Note: The type order "Archaeoglobales" Stetter 1989 does not appear on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names, and was not validly published when Cavalier-Smith proposed the class Archaeoglobea (January 14, 2002). The order ¤ Archaeoglobales Huber and Stetter 2002 (previously known as "Archaeoglobales" Stetter 1989) was validly published in the May 2002 issue of the IJSEM (Validation List n° 85). Consequently, Archaeoglobea Cavalier-Smith 2002 is illegitimate.
