Caractères communs :

. Réponse négative aux tests réduction des nitrates, uréase, DNase, LDC, ADH, croissance sur gélose de MacConkey, acidification du galactose, de l'inositol, du lactose, du raffinose, du rhamnose, de la salicine et du xylose.
. Réponse positive au test production d'hydrogène sulfuré (méthode du papier à l'acétate).
