Note: The assignment of Thiobacillus albertis Bryant et al. 1988 to the genus Acidithiobacillus Kelly and Wood 2000 is tentative, as its 16S rRNA sequence does not appear to be available yet. Moreover, the original isolate may have been lost from culture.
