Etymology: L. adj. albidus, whitish, white; L neut. n. ovum, egg; N.L. neut. n. ovulum, small egg; N.L. neut. n. Albidovulum, small whitish egg.

Etymology: L. neut. adj. inexpectatum, unexpected, because the organism has characteristics that are unexpected.
