Type genus: ¤ Anaerolinea Sekiguchi et al. 2003.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Anaerolinea, type genus of the family; suff. -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Anaerolineaceae, family of the genus Anaerolinea.
