Etymology: L. fem. n. aqua, water; L. fem. n. cella, a chamber, closet, cabinet (in biology, a cell); N.L. fem. n. aquicella, a cell from a water.

Etymology: L. fem. adj. lusitana, pertaining to Lusitania, the Roman province in western Iberia.
