Type genus: ¤ Branhamella Catlin 1970 (Approved Lists 1980).
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Branhamella, type genus of the family; suff. -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Branhamaceae (sic), the Branhamella family.
