Bulleidia extructa Downes et al. 2000, sp. nov. (Type species of the genus).
Note: The etymology of the specific epithet is given as L. adj. extructus, slow, referring to the slow growth of the organism. However, the Latin adjective extructus a um (or exstructus a um) means furnished, put together, constructed, raised etc.
