Type genus: ¤ Glycomyces Labeda et al. 1985.
Etymology: N.L. masc. n. Glycomyces, type genus of the suborder; suff. -ineae, ending to denote a suborder; N.L. fem. pl. n. Glycomycineae, the Glycomyces suborder.
