Type genus: ¤ Kineosporia Pagani and Parenti 1978 (Approved Lists 1980).
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Kineosporia, type genus of the suborder; suff. -ineae, ending to denote a suborder; N.L. fem. pl. n. Kineosporiineae, the Kineosporia suborder.
