Type species: ¤ Ktedonobacter racemifer corrig. Cavaletti et al. 2007.
Etymology: Gr. n. ktedon -onos, fiber; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Ktedonobacter, filamentous rod.
