Type species: ¤ Luedemannella helvata Ara and Kudo 2007.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Luedemannella, referring to G. M. Luedemann, a Russian actinomycetologist who contributed to the taxonomy of the family Micromonosporaceae.
