Note: Sánchez-Porro et al. 2009 propose to transfer Muricoccus roseus Kämpfer et al. 2003 (the type species of the genus Muricoccus) to the genus ¤ Roseomonas as ¤ Roseomonas rosea (Kämpfer et al. 2003) Sánchez-Porro et al. 2009, comb. nov. According to Rule 37a, bacteriologists adhering to this proposal must change the name Muricoccus to ¤ Roseomonas.
