2 The gender of the genus name is not given by Zhilina et al. 1999 and the specific epithet of the sole species does not allow the correct gender to be determined. Natronincola may be in the masculine or in the feminine gender. According to Rule 65(1) when the original author failed to indicate the gender, a subsequent author has the right of choice.
