Type genus: ¤ Phaselicystis Garcia et al. 2009.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Phaselicystis -idis, type genus of the family; L. suff. -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. pl. fem. n. Phaselicystidaceae, the Phaselicystis family.
