Type species: ¤ Pisciglobus halotolerans Tanasupawat et al. 2011.
Etymology: L. n. piscis, fish; L. masc. n. globus, ball, sphere, globe; N.L. masc. n. Pisciglobus, a sphere (coccus) from fish.
