Type species: ¤ Polymorphospora rubra Tamura et al. 2006.
Etymology: Gr. adj. polumorphos, multiform; Gr. fem. n. spora, seed, and in biology a spore; N.L. fem. n. Polymorphospora, polymorphic spore.
