Type species: ¤ Pullulanibacillus naganoensis (Tomimura et al. 1990) Hatayama et al. 2006.
Etymology: N.L. n. pullulanum, pullulan; L. masc. n. bacillus, a small staff; N.L. masc. n. Pullulanibacillus, a small staff hydrolysing pullulan.
