Reyranella Pagnier et al. 2011, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Reyranella massiliensis Pagnier et al. 2011.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Reyranella, named after Reyran, the river where the type strain was isolated.

Reyranella massiliensis Pagnier et al. 2011, sp. nov. (Type species of the genus).
Type strain (see also StrainInfo.net): strain 521 = CSUR P115 = DSM 23428.
GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ accession number for the 16S rRNA gene sequence of the type strain: EF394922.
Etymology: L. fem. adj. massiliensis, of or belonging to Massilia, Latin name of Marseille, where the strain was characterized.
