Type species: ¤ Sulfuricurvum kujiense Kodama and Watanabe 2004.
Etymology: L. neut. n. sulfur -uris, sulfur; L. adj. curvus -a -um, curved; N.L. neut. n. Sulfuricurvum, curved bacterium that utilizes sulfur.
