Type species: ¤ Telmatobacter bradus Pankratov et al. 2012.
Etymology: Gr. n. telma –atos, swamp, bog; N.L. masc. n. bacter, a rod; N.L. masc. n. Telmatobacter, rod-shaped bog-inhabiting bacterium.
