Type species: ¤ Tistrella mobilis Shi et al. 2003.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Tistrella, arbitrary name formed from the acronym of the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research, TISTR, where the isolation of the type strain was performed.
