Notes:
1 The type order "Thermales" Rainey and Da Costa 2001 does not appear on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names, and was not validly published when Cavalier-Smith proposed the class Hadobacteria (January 14, 2002). The order ¤ Thermales Rainey and Da Costa 2002 (previously known as "Thermales" Rainey and Da Costa 2001) was validly published in the May 2002 issue of the IJSEM (Validation List n° 85). Consequently, Hadobacteria Cavalier-Smith 2002 is illegitimate.
