Type species: ¤ Lysinibacillus boronitolerans Ahmed et al. 2007.
Etymology: N.L. n. lysinum, lysine; L. masc. n. bacillus, a small staff or rod; N.L. masc. n. Lysinibacillus, lysine bacillus, referring to the presence of the Lys-Asp type of peptidoglycan in the cell wall.
