Etymology: L. adj. marinus, of or belonging to the sea; Gr. n. aktis -inos, a ray; Gr. n. spora, a seed, and in biology a spore; N.L. fem. n. Marinactinospora, marine and spored ray, referring to marine spore-forming actinomycete.
