Notes:
1 According to the Judicial Opinion 83 the subgenus name Moraxella (subgen. Branhamella Catlin 1970) and the appropriate species names within this subgenus, published by Bøvre in 1979 in the International Journal of Systematic Bacteriology (Int. J. Syst. Bacteriol., 1979, 29, 403-406.), were inadvertently omitted from the Approved Lists (Note 1 of Rule 24a). The Judicial Commission therefore concludes that these names meet the requirements of the 1976 revision of the Bacteriological Code and are to be treated as having been included on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names.
