Type species: ¤ Phaselicystis flava Garcia et al. 2009.
Etymology: L. n. phaselos or phaselus, an edible bean, kidney bean; Gr. fem. n. kustis, bladder; N.L. fem. n. Phaselicystis, bean-shaped bladder, pertaining to the shape of the sporangiole.
