Type species: ¤ Pibocella ponti Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Pibocella, arbitrary name, derived from the acronym PIBOC (Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Far-Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences).
