Sejongia Yi et al. 2005, gen. nov.
Type species: ¤ Sejongia antarctica Yi et al. 2005.
Etymology: N.L. fem. n. Sejongia, named after the King Sejong Station, where the type strain was isolated.
Reference: YI (H.), YOON (H.I.) and CHUN (J.): Sejongia antarctica gen. nov., sp. nov. and Sejongia jeonii sp. nov., isolated from the Antarctic. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2005, 55, 409-416.

---> ¤ Chryseobacterium Vandamme et al. 1994.

Note: Kämpfer et al. 2009 propose to transfer ¤ Sejongia antarctica Yi et al. 2005 (the type species of the genus Sejongia) to the genus ¤ Chryseobacterium as ¤ Chryseobacterium antarcticum (Yi et al. 2005) Kämpfer et al. 2009, comb. nov. According to Rule 37a, bacteriologists adhering to this proposal must change the name Sejongia to ¤ Chryseobacterium.
