Spirilleae Kluyver and van Niel 1936, tribus.
Type genus: ¤ Spirillum Ehrenberg 1832 (Approved Lists 1980).
Etymology: N.L. neut. n. Spirillum, type genus of the tribe; suff. -eae, ending to denote a tribe; N.L. fem. pl. n. Spirilleae, the Spirillum tribe.
