Synonyms: Not "Streptobacillus" Ucke 1898, "Haverhillia" Parker and Hudson 1926.
Etymology:  Gr. adj. streptos, twisted, curved; L. masc. n. bacillus, a small rod; N.L. masc. n. Streptobacillus, a twisted or curved small rod.
