Type species: ¤ Succiniclasticum ruminis van Gylswyk 1995.
Etymology: N.L. n. acidum succinicum, succinic acid; N.L. adj. clasticus -a -um (from Gr. adj. klastos -ê -on, broken in pieces), breaking; N.L. neut. n. Succiniclasticum, breaking or splitting succinic acid.
