Type species: ¤ Uruburuella suis Vela et al. 2005.
Etymology: N.L. fem. dim. n. Uruburuella, in memory of the Spanish microbiologist Federico Uruburu, for his contributions to the promotion and strengthening of the Spanish Type Culture Collection.
